Custom Orthotics

Are you tired of replacing your store bought shoe inserts?  Always looking for new shoes because you’re looking for that “medial arch support” to help relieve your feet pain?

Dealing with chronic plantar fasciitis that’s preventing you from standing on your feet as long as you need to without pain?

Whatever your reason may be, orthotics is that one topic everyone thinks they know what they’re talking about.  But, do you really understand what’s going on?  Do you not even know where to start because you don’t really want to see a podiatrist?

Orthotics are a huge misnomer as to what’s the best, where you have to get it from, and what they really cost.  The reality of the orthotic world is that there are many different options and each option has a different price point.  There is no one orthotic that is better than the other.  To find the right orthotic is about finding the one that meets your physical demands.

What Is A Custom Orthotic?

It’s important to understand the difference between a “custom” versus an “over-the-counter” orthotic.  Just because you got your orthotic from your podiatrist, shoe store, or physical therapist; does not guarantee that it is a truly “custom” orthotic.

A “custom” orthotic is one that a mold is made specifically for your foot to capture the true arches of your foot (there are 3 of them).  An “over-the-counter” option is one that is already fabricated and you are now choosing the one that best fits your foot.
