FROM DR. MALIA TALLETT, P.T., D.P.T, T.P.S
Dr. Malia Tallett, PT, DPT, TPS has been working actively in the local Physical Therapy industry for ten years, during which time she has become intimately familiar with the administrative, organizational, operational and physical aspects of starting and maintaining a clinic.
We will work to create a routine that aligns with your current status and works towards your goals. Anyone of any age who has physical impairments, functional limitations, disabilities, or changes in physical functions and health status resulting from injury, disease or other causes, or who requires prevention, wellness or fitness services.
Dr. Malia Tallett and her staff are very personable and friendly. The office is small to allow for one-on-one care and full of aloha!
Dr. Tallett is extremely knowledgeable in a wide range of therapeutic modalities. She was recommended to me by my personal doctor (who also sees Dr. Tallett!) for post-operative physical therapy. Because of Dr. Tallett’s expertise and care, I am able to move and stand taller than ever before. Her level of care and compassion has surpassed many professionals in the medical field and can be compared to no other. She listens to you and works with you to create a positive treatment plan specified to fit your needs so you can return to your normal daily activities without pain or worry. During treatment, she explains what she’s doing and will answer any question you have, without hesitation. Dr. Tallett will see you the same day in an emergency. She accepts almost all insurances, including workers’ compensation, no-fault, and Tricare. I’ve seen a few physical therapists in my day. Believe me when I say that DR. TALLETT IS THE VERY BEST BY FAR!! If you are in need of physical therapy, call Ke Ola Kino Physical Therapy and put yourself in the experienced hands of Dr. Malia Tallett! – Karen Ah Chong
The person who started PT in October of 2019 and the person I am today are hardly the same. Before I couldn’t hold my arms up long enough to wash my hair, I didn’t drive, and my family asked me not to use a knife or stove without supervision. Today I can wash my own hair, drive to an appointment, put gas in the car, and still recover to make dinner. This may not sound like much to some, but for me, THIS IS LIVING! I waited too long, over a year, before I went in; based on a friend’s recommendation. TRUST THIS…if you do the work, if you keep going, you will be in a better place.
So what changed? I wasn’t always so sure. At times, I was just waiting for my body to shut down and for something to break. It is hard work and Iʻm still improving; however, there is no more “Base Pain Rate,” no more fear, and no more being stuck in bed for the week. The brain fog is gone. My insane pain is managed. I have learned so much and don’t plan on stopping. Things still hurt, but I can identify it and understand why. I deal with stress, sleep, and overall life better. I breathe better and more deeply. I sleep more soundly. I am happier, more confident, and competent. My body moves easier and with more flow. My activity level is 300% higher. I did all of this while my partner was not able to be supportive. When the demands on me were at a peak, Ke Ola Kino helped me find my feet.
I wasn’t looking for all of this when I walked in the door. I’ve worked with over a dozen PT and pain management groups over the last 20 years. NO ONE has ever had such an impact on my physical and mental health. I believe this is an answered prayer and will forever be grateful. Believe & DO THE WORK! You will IMPRESS YOURSELF! – Leigh Greer
